What is skip tracing?
Skip tracing allows to find fresh contact information for a debtor by running known information through a public or private search engine. The best skip tracing software allows the user to run batch skip tracing and search a high volume of names at once. It is important to note, that typically in most jurisdictions a person must have a legal reason (right) to search for a person using such specialised services. That is why at SkipTraze we only work with creditors, collection agencies and private investigators.
Searching prey must have a legally valid reason to use our service.
What data does SkipTraze require?
In order to participate in Data Partner SkipTraze search engine you must have the legal right to process data (and collect an additional consent to process consumers data for SkipTraze purposes) and have the social security number of the individual (Poland PESEL, Spain DNI). SkipTraze then searches Data Partner databases for a match with social security number that was provided by the collection department and can find:
Phone number
Email address
Address (Country, City, Street, House Number, Apartment, Postal code)
How much can I earn?
You only get paid per successful data hit. A hit is defined as a single data point that is additional to existing data of collections department.
So for example if you search for John Doe with a Social Security number and have 1 phone number, 1 email address, 1 physical address – but end up finding – 1 new phone number and 1 new email address. This would be considered as 2 successful hits.
Prices differ per country, please contact us to get a quote.
How can I connect to the search engine?
After you have signed our contract and have been verified to have the right to sell your data, you will have 2 connections to the service:
- integrate with our API to receive requests
- log in to our SkipTraze platform and see revenue and invoicing
Who is buying this data?
Collection departments, especially those that have older portfolios (e.g. non-performing loans).
What about GDPR?
We comply with EU level and country specific legal requirements in each of the markets we operate.
You as a Data Partner must agree to collect additional consents in your customer onboarding journey to have compliant data and participate in our platform.
Does your service require me to redirect the customer to SkipTraze website?
No. There is no need for redirection, you only need to add legal consents and make 1 API integration.
What markets is your solution available in?
We currently operate in Spain and Poland. For specific country requests please contact us.
Does SkipTraze save personal data? Do you use it for other purposes like marketing?
No. SkipTraze is forbidden from using data provided by Data Partners for any other reason than to provide skip tracing services to valid legal entities.
SkipTraze automatically deletes personal data 30 days after issuing invoice for the services.
SkipTraze always makes a fresh request to the your database ensuring the highest quality data available from the partner network and to ensure you still have a valid reason to process the data.
What happens if a consumer gets a call from a collection department and they need to explain where data came from?
In this case we would connect this consumer directly with you so that you can explain when they visited your website or online service and under which conditions you are processing their data.
Same as in other cases under GDPR the consumer might ask you to delete their data and you should comply with all EU level and local privacy laws.
